Please Help chain on Honda TRX 90 not adjusting

We have installed a new chain on honda TRX 90 2011 and the adjust screw is screwed in all the way but the chain is still loose ( the chain is the correct size for the atv) seems when they put the chain on maybe have not tightened or put the parts back in correctly I have searched everywhere for a video and or manual could not find anything for the atv Im trying to teach my 13 yr old to fix the atv himself and Im having a difficult time myself to find what the problem is is there anyone out there that could help. I tried to upload video and couldnt figure it out. tried uploading from my computer no luck

Try taking links in the chain out one at a time. Maybe they sold you the wrong chain?

did you buy a factory chain for this machine or an aftermarket one? aftermarket ones are generally sold in 100 and 120 link sizes, and are supposed to be cut to length. the parts diagram shows your chain should be a size 428 chain, 98 links total. 2 pins on the chain is one link, you can manually count them after removing the chain to doublecheck.

Finally got it there are 4 bolts holding the shaft got to loosen all 4 bolts to get the shaft to move freely and the chain was one link to long so had to remove one chain link. utube videos and manual only specify 2 bolts to be loosened so that needs to be corrected other than that. Kids are having a great time riding.
