Where can I get the tool (don't know the exact name of it) that you use to adjust the bearing carrier for a 250x? I know you can use an allen wrench or a large screwdriver, but the aluminum is already been damaged somewhat so I would like to find the correct tool for it. If anyone knows where I can get one or has a link I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks

with the billet aftermarket carried they older style that had the hole you need a round price of metal, they use to come with them but if you buy them from ebay they wont so i use an allenwrench.

for the new style billet carriers they are kinda slotted like oem but you put in a 1/4" ratched extention and it works perfect. i honestly dont know why they cant machine the carrier like a locking nut so we could use a wrench!

When I had my 300ex I cracked the carrier by taping it with a hammer. I know... It was a stupid thing to do. I found some spaner wrenches at home chepo that work well for adjusting the carrier. The only problem I found with them is if you over tighten the chain the spanner wrench will only work in one direction. So I just use a oil filer wrench or a scrap pice of pine and a mallet. Kinda ******* but has worked well so far.

Yeah, it's just a basic spanner wrench, so if it fits it will work.

Yeah, that looks like a spanner wrench used for adjusting the shocks, unless they make a spanner wrench to turn the bearing carrier, too.

me either...if it's anything like all the chain drives i've seen...some of them have allen screws that tighten down around the carrier..and then you just push or pull the carrier. some have a long bolt with a washer type of holder that goes around a carrier bolt holder spot..which you use a 12 mm deep socket to loosen or tighten to move the carrier...other than that..i have no idea.
