Lots of companies out there promising big gains with their pipes, and slip ons. Truthfully if you don't open the airbox to compensate for the extra airflow of the pipe, and rejet the carb, or in FI remap the system it will do little but make extra noise.
HMF seems to be a popular atv pipe, I use an FMF Q4 series on my bike, and it does as advertised, but at the expense of noise which doesn't bother me to much being on the street, (I like being heard, be it animals or drivers)but loud pipes can cause issues on some trail systems, and make sure it has a spark arrestor on whatever system you choose. They are usually good for losing some weight on your machine also, but most require service, such as repacking them on a regular basis.

I've got a couple of HMF utility slip ons,and they're @ least 2db above USFS legal limits, but unless I am @ wot they're not annoyingly in your face loud, but they do perform very well all in all for what I paid for them, and the little extra noise for the performance gains are well worth it...Plus they do sound great at wot!! ;)

Yes u will need to. I mean you don't "have" to but with any exhaust/intake mod the airflow is altered and the fuel/air mixture will be off. However some say that if u don't yul be fine. I think it will be ok but be looking to rejet in the future.
