What class are you going to start out in?? I used to run a couple hare scrambles here and there with my old 450. I know what you mean about the cash. I felt like I would go cash my check at the bank. And then take all my money and through it out the window LOL The difference in the longer swing arm is crazy, you can take corners faster, the front wheels stayed on the ground better (In my opinion) You can take bigger jumps, handles those pesky creeks better. You probably already know this but Id though id share! Best of luck next season!! Make sure to send some pics!

I dont think im in any physical shape to run an actual class lol. I hope to just hit a few close races to me. The extent of my racing has been faircross so far but i have been practicing riding really fast through the trails and hitting some woods loops here and there and have been having a blast with it. Im trying to get some buddies to go to the ironman gncc race next year to watch the pros do it and get a feel for how its done. And it just looks like an absolute blast to be right next to these quads flying by and helping them if they get stuck. We will see where that takes me. Havent had time for the research part yet since i work all the time. But when i slow down this winter i plan on figuring out where i want to run at and how i go about signing up or what ever i have to do. I do appreciate all the advice though. I never have had issues with keeping the front end down. But i will look into a longer swingarm. And dont worry i will have go pro footage and lots of pictures to post.

If you're in a good physical shape it's an absolute blast!! I always got cramps really bad (A good tip for that is eat a banana before you ride, they have a lot of potassium) I never got to work one but they do look like a blast! I wish I never sold my 450 because I'd love to start racing again. I'll try and find a pic of it. I would say if you didn't live 8 hours away you could come ride at my house! I have a 15 mile loop of trails, a full MX course. If you ever in Missouri swing by I have plenty of quads to ride LOL

The extended swingarm came on my bike when I bought it. I'm not sure how much they are now. Probably stupid expensive. I just bought a Swing arm skid plate for it and it was $250 for a piece of aluminum LOL

that's a lot of wood Jay , how long will that last you ???? ----we got out first cold blast of 42F Saturday morning and got up to 60 ,the had outdoor fire pit going from Saturday 9:30 till dark:30 Sunday night , burn a half a cord
Fish here's the specs n i was wrong , it's a 180.000 btu n not 175.000, the fire box messures 34w32dx36h + 8 for the grating weight 850lbs empty n hold 130 gallons of water, it's suppose to warm for a few days so I'll burn out the box and find out how much wood she holds from cold start, the inclosure/water jacket messures 40w x 52 1/2d x 59 1/2h she's the old school full mechanical 1st edition h-4 , sadly there all now <spotted al bored> up, full computer controled, n i wouldn't have one.... i can make this monster blow n go! Heck i went one more, i added a high output squirl cage blower fan, n it puts much more forced air than the oem fan.

I'm gonna need pics of this setup.

Both my house and the parents' have boilders and radiators and while not the most efficient, we really like the type of heat vs forced air. Much steadier and not so dry.

I've got a stash of extra radiators in the shop that dad and I hauled out of some of the old buildings uptown that the historical society was going to smash up and haul off for scrap. At some point I'm hoping to build a cabin on our land and rig up a wood burning boiler and use those radiators in the cabin.

The circulation pumps on my radiator systems draw very little power, so would be something I could run on solar if need be.

got the rear brakes on with new cables and new front lever so I think I may have front brakes also and put on a rear foot brakevpedal on I didn't have one before thanks to ebay I have parts
with your model ?..it's ebay or none !..lol.

Thought you'll EX'ers would like to see this : awesome piece of speed equipment , Yamaha Raptor 700 sleeved to like 832 , stretched out for the drag races , a set of 25 14 lug paddle tires on the way , that is 22 12 lugs on there now and they won't hold , nitrous bottle laying on the floor next to it , beautiful piece of machinery and it is not finished yet ---- didn't get a pic of his newest one , a Polaris 660 that has 150 HP and allegedly will do 100mph in 300 ft

Haha thanks I guess. My ex Girlfriend used to tell me "I mean I'm glad you're not addicted to drugs, cigarettes, chewing tobacco, because it's expensive and you will probably go broke. But it really doesn't matter because you're addicted to quads anyways and you're broke" LOL

Yeah I'll probably buy one. I usually bring my Go Pro along and use it to take videos and pics but I thought "Nah i'll just use my Phone" BAD IDEA.... IPHONES DON'T LIKE WATER

Also on my trip to my buddies track I got to see my old 2006 Honda 450r race bike!! Still kick azz and hauling it!! And I also got to go look at a 2003 Polaris 900 :devil One hell of a machine. Huge fox shocks (18 inchs of travel!!!!) It's fully built with the best of the best. I may look into doing a trade with him. A motor swap in his truck.

I rode it. In fact, I rode it long enough today for the oil cooler fan to actually come on. The temperature was in the mid 80's here today and I made a few vigorous trips up and down the dry sides of the local bayou. It took about thirty minutes with cylinder head temperatures anywhere from 350 F to a high of 389 F on my Trail Tech TTO cylinder head temp gauge. I did not look at it but I'm guessing that my oil temp dipstick would have been around 205 F, its usual temp after this long of a ride.

My fan doesn't come on very often but I kept after it today . . .

I knocked my custom built and hacked Galaxy Note 2 into the lake at a boat launch last year while hooking up. Waded in and found it in about 1 1/2 feet of water, yanked the Otterbox case off it and pulled the battery out of it right there. When I got back and got the grill fired up I sat down and took the phone completely apart. There was maybe 4 or 5 drops of water found inside that had seeped in around the stylus. An alcohol bath and some compressed air and an hours worth of time and it was like nothing had ever happened! Gotta have a good case on every phone!

WOW!... wheres the fuel truck :eek

Thats some purdy fall pics there one1. I didn't get to see much fall color this year. The leaves have all been down for three weeks here and we've had snow covering the ground 3 times already. The sun won't shine much until April or May now, thats the thing I'll miss the most... Stay warm and dry!
