Cleaning out my carb today and the stem for the overflow cracked off. Some of you know I'm still rebuilding this bike and haven't got everything worked out on it yet, my question is until I make sure the motor is running right, can I plug the over flow hole in the float bowl temporarily until I get a new one? And if so what could I use?

Good call Goober! I'd have never of thought to try Hondabond for that! 10 out of 10 on that one bud!

I don't think yamabond or Hondabond will hold up to gas ?. you need something that will hold up to fuel. I use a product called '' seal all '' IT WORKS !. you can buy this at advanced auto parts is where I get mine. it's not cheap ?!, but it works !. you need this tube on there!!!!!, or you won't ever know if your float needle is sticking or not ?.

Is there anything left of the brass tube sticking up from the floor of the float bowl? If yes, you can "sister" a new piece of small, hobby brass tubing over it to sort of splint it and the loose end like a bone. Then solder the two joints and you are fixed.

Update ****** so I found some moto1 gasket at Canadian tire and am currently waiting for it to cure, unfortunately Rick it was a break flush with the floor.. I just ordered a rebuild kit for the carb today so once that's done and I find out for sure that the bike runs good I will look at getting a new bowl

Thanks for the help guys I will keep you posted
