wondering if anyone in here has ever cut open their muffler to repair a loose baffle and do you have to cut the front and back open, any tips? I would like to try because mufflers are pretty darn expensive and mine is ok on the outside but the baffle inside is rattling and driving me crazy. Thanks for any help.

Muffler Repair
I did mine.There is a row of spot welds about 4" from the back.That is where the baffle is.I cut the end right off,made a plate because the baffle was rotted,welded the baffle to the plate,welded the plate/baffle to the muffler and then welded the muffler case back together.Got rid of the rattle and the backfire.
