Hey you guys , hope you'll having a happy new years eve:) . . This is first post and a issue we've been dealing with for a while so thanks in advanced .

The 01 350 rancher is a manual . And is having major downshift issues . Shifting up seems to work fine . It was second hand and has carburetor issues and when we got that fixed this shift issue came into play . . .

Next is the 14 420 rancher , I actually drowned and flooded this bike and flipped it twice . Once we changed the oil in it , it would shift but when it did there would be a delay in which the engine would rise slightly and the bike would forward when it re-engaged . This happens in both in auto and esp .

BTW the only thing I've done on these bike is shut it off while is slowing down and I'm coming to a stop and once or twice I downwhifted till it turned back on (like poping the clutch in a car) .

Thanks you guys in advanced , can't wait to hear your replies .

Hdpz: Happy New Year to you as well.
I like where you say "BTW, the only thing I did is......." :) However, above, you say you drowned and flooded the atv, AND FLIPPED IT TWICE! "

From what your atv have been through, it's really going to be tough to even guess what all might be damaged. Obviously, just changing your oil wasn't enough.
So, I'd recommend that you do a more thorough disassembly and cleaning of the engine and transmission. There are valves, sensors, etc., in your transmission that control shifting, and just a little bit of crud in the wrong place can cause problems.

My guess on the first bike would be too high an idle...The second one would be that there is still crud in the electrical system somewhere that was not cleaned out well enough..Does it have a meter?? If it does then it should be flashing a code,or you can pull up the trouble codes to see what the issue is..

Thanks for replying you guys . I was trying to wait till I got to a pc reply to you'll but doesn't seem I'll get a chance too .Deeperinthabush , I downloaded the manuals I needed (you are a lifesaver bro) , but I'm not sure what a meter is or what I'm per se looking for in the manuals to break down . . Going to try the idle today or tomorrow .kentco*:icon_ cry::icon_ cry::icon_ cry: I know I janked up pretty bad . . But is any of this engine work , or difficult . Cause I'm kinda wary about taking my engine apart incase I damage it even further .
