no clue what the D stands for ??. but I know what the rest stands for. F= FOUR WHEEL DRIVE, P=POWER STEERING, E=ELECTRIC SHIFT. where are you getting this letter D from ?, cuz I know its not on the sticker anywhere I don't think anyway ??.

 

It was on the bill of sale and I have seen it mentioned before as a model elsewhere. It may signify the torque sensitive differential? Thanks Shadetree.

 

don't worry about it, all you need to be concerned about the first 3 letters, FPE .

D means it's a 2013. They put it at the end of the model code, it's usually on the decal under the seat which indicates the colour code. It's also the 10th digit of your VIN number.

must be something new honda started doing ?, all old models ( old school ) don't have any letters for the vin number in the model quote. see..even I learn stuff here !..lol.
