Noob question - front hubs

Hi,
Wondering what those single red rubber plugs are for on the front hubs between the lugs? Can't find anything in the service manual.

They are for adjusting drum brakes where you can pop the plug out use to flathead screwdrivers and adjust the adjusters without having to remove the wheel and hub
