i have a 95 fourtrax 300, its been sitting up for a while. i got quad out, changed oil, drained fuel tank, and it will crank and run fine but when choke is turned all the way off the engine shuts off. theres a fine spot the choke can stay at and it will run at somewhat normal idle. removed carb dis assembled and cleaned and still have same problem. its just like ur cutting the kill switch when it happens.

the idle is controlled by the carb so do another tear down on it to see if all the seals are tight and if the float is sticking ect.... some bikes have to warm up for a min or two b4 goosing it also so ride it 5=10 min before trying to fix the choke cable
Update... After original post i went home and took carb apart myself and low speed jet was clogged. cleaned and reinstalled and will now idle fine, revs good in neutral but under a load it wont take the gas. its like if a coil was breaking down on a car, if u give it throttle slow it will go 1st thru 4th but not under load..... also thanks for reply.
