If I want an extended swingarm on a utility quad with a straight axle. (I need 3") where is the best place to look to have this work done? Has anyone done this with their ATV?

I used to live in Jacksonville, NC and I had a buddy that would fabricate anything I needed when doing custom work on cars and trucks, but I have no idea where to look now. I'm willing to send it off for a professional job, if needed. I can't send it to my buddy, because to be honest, I needed to be there anytime he did the work for me, because I could say NO, I don't want it to look like that etc.... lol He could be a hack if I let him! :)

I found a metal fabrication shop here in Greenville, but they don't specialize in cars or atvs. It may not matter, but just want the best job. NO HACKS! :p

I also found these guys http://www.wolfesmetalfabrication.com/services.html but would like someone closer to do it. I'm right smack near Charlotte NC, practically nascar racing heaven, so I should get some replies near Charlotte.

Extending you swing arm will help on climbing hills but if you do alot of trail riding or tight trails you will hurt your self. I did extend my 250r to help with wheeling and to come out of the hole faster. eather way you go you will have no problem getting use to it

what polais do you want an ext swing arm. polaris atvs are already long. my buddy runs a custom atv shop, hes done ext swingarms on my 3wheeler and other machines but thats because i dont want to use stock oem swingarms or frames when going custom.

your really leaving out alot of info i think on your idea. tell me what machine, ill tell u if its a money worthy idea.

for trail riding i like to keep the machines short and no wider then 46"

if you want real advice from a race builder call my buddy. his number is listed on his site.

www.hreatv.com they makes everything by hand, frames, /airboxes, steering stem, a-arms, u name it. hes the man....
