If it has D-N-R lever then it is an automatic. The DCT is non-trivial.

 

It’s automatic and I can switch it to manual where I push the button to shift gears.

 

I have a 2018 Honda Rubicon 500 electric shift. When trying to start the wheeler it shows a “ - “ on the screen. If i hold the break it will sometimes allow me to start it and sometimes if I play with the gears I can eventually get it to go into neutral to start.
When I get it started sometimes it’ll lock in neutral and want allow me to shift into other gears.
At one time during this I got it in drive and it shifted into all gears just fine.
Another time in drive and in manual shifting it wouldn’t shift into 3rd.

Update: This problem was one of the shifting pins had broken. This is the second time it has happened with the first time being before I left the showroom floor back in 2018. Honda covered the first $700 fix but i’m not sure they’ll cover this one.

 

The automatic has a hydraulic controlled dual clutch for shifting 1-5 in D (drive).
It also has a mechanical sub-transmission for shifting D-N-R. You could probably fix the sub-transmission yourself.

But I don't know where the "shifting pin" is.

 

It’s in the shop now I’m not to Familiar with breaking down those mechanics. I’m not sure where the pin was either I know the first pin that had broke was in 2nd gear they said.
