i was wondering if someone could tell me the difference between the 2009 trx250x and the trx250ex?

Welcome to the forums... the 250EX and the 250X are the same they just dropped the "E". Now from 1987-1992 they built a 250X which was entirely different,and from 1993 -up the 300EX took the 250X place. In 2006 they added a sport clutch option to the 250EX allowing biginner riders the experience of using a clutch but with no stall. It was still a footshift but you could use it either way.
