Well first off guys i know its a stupid questin because this is a honda fourms but i thinking about upgrading to a 450 next year some time i been rideing a 300ex but i was just wondering is that to big of a jump or what and what are the specs on the two quads like the topp speed and horse power

Well it depends if you think you can handle a 450 cuz there is a waaaaaaaaaay bigger difference in power. Im 5'8 and 170 pounds. I know a 450 would kill me. If you think you want a 450 i would suggust the Honda but you got to take in consideration that the YFZ has fuel injection. If that makes a difference to you.

With the fuel injected quad, if you add an exhaust you have to buy a fuel programmer which is another 300 bucks.

Both quads top out around 74mph. The SOHC of the Honda will pull harder out of the turns and at lower RPM range. The DOHC of the Yammy has better mid range pull. The YFZ has some of the worst ergonomics I have ever seen.

Hondas spank Yamahas on the track every time one pulls out, FI can be a pain in the ASS but you do what you want but no wineing if you buy a Yamaha.

well i am 13 weigh 260 and am 6 foot tall i think i can handle it and i can handle my cuz 660 and it does 85 so i think i can handle a 450 and guys i get a honda trx450er ok and i set it up shor distance and when we go to st.joe i put it for all top end and at hanna i set it for all bottem end

There are not many 700's that can it 85 let alone 660's. You REALLY need a new method of speed detection. If you are 260, your 300EX is definitely not hitting 75.

well see red we dont know whats been done to it all i know that done to it its in my sig so all i know it could be bigger then a 330 man and i am getting a gps sometime this year or next year red

We got some pretty good deals at our local shop. I got my 400ex $1,400 less than what they usually go for at the shop. It only cost $4,200 when it usually costed $5,600.

Well lets see a 330 big bore kit probably has a 80mm piston wich is 6mm over stock since the stroke hasn't changed that would be 65.5 mm if you do the formula for figuring CCs.....
BORE (in cm) X BORE (in cm) X STROKE (in cm) X .7854 = Cylinder cc's
your engine's CCs are......329.24 rounded. now if you were to stroke the engine as well then your CCs would increase to.... 351.9. that's a max on that engine this isn't including the porting on the head wich will add about 5 to 9 % more power

If were to add the same Stroker kit to my 250X My CCs would be the same as yours .....351.9 CCs you see my engine is Identicle to yours only the stroke is different and I have kickstart. but I have an 80mm piston 12:1 .50 over I'm sitting at 288CCs right now, not including the cam, jetting, exhaust, and soo to be ported head, and 38mm carb.
