Is 3500 good for this 450r??? or can i just tune up my 400ex to be a 450r??? But i also dont want the piss ran out of my 400ex just to make it as good as a 450??? Which is more worth it??? :huh: :unsure::unsure:

400ex's are capable but as always its not made from the factory that way so its gunna get beat. The 450r is factory built that fast so it will last alot longer than a modifyed 400. But it is possible, my brothers 400 eats stock 450s.

Thats what i want my 400 to be like but after awhile my engine is gonna be shot after runnin it so hard. Right????

2005 TRX450R
The 450 would deffinatly be your best bet.

In case anybody wondered, the stock 450R is 42.6 HP and the stock 400EX is 34.2 HP. This info was taken from the CARB (California Air Resource Board)certifications.

its also on the sticker on your frame. at least mine is. theres 2 black stickers, one for the mod/mak/year and another that has all the specs

Yeah pretty much. Any built fourwheeler isnt gunna last as long as a stock one. I dont care how good of a motor builder anyone is. The factory build has been tested and abused and tested some more. Honda does there homework when building these things.

i was in this same predicament 4 moinths ago and went with the 450r. what a great choice. i made.
