i have a 2006 350 rancher and it wont shift with the hand control. it is flashing "n" on the display screen, i can shift it with the tool though. any suggestions? thanks
Check the ECM plug & the handle bar switch plug (it is under the front fenders) There may be moisture or corrosion in the plug if thats not it let me know.
is the ecm the black box with a couple plugs on it? and if so how do i remove the little plugs on it i think there are 3 of them. i pulled the plugs apart for the shifter, but looked good and clean
took to dealer to get the prob figured out for the shifter, they try part after part and cant figure it out still its been in there for 3 weeks now, im gonna hate to see this bill
The shops here, if they tell you it is one thing, replace that part and that did not fix the problem. They eat the bill. Unless you told them to change the certain part.
ya so far it corrected the problem. they did eat it for a part. but they took care of me, the service manager is a good snowmobiling buddy of mine. but wow the price of a pit pass is it worth almost 700 bucks for 3 yrs?
I have a 2004 with the same problem...flashes 3 times. Where is the ECM plug located? My problem has happened twice, but is intermittent. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Should have bought a manual shift - Old School! HA
