Does anyone know the proper way to wire a tusk control switch to a stock honda 450x headlight? I cant seem to figure it out to where it works as it should. These are the wires,
From the bike: Blue(hot) and green(ground)
From the control switch: Black(HL main), blue (Hibeam) and white ( low beam)
From the headlight: Blue, white and green

Bike Blue to Control switch Black.
Light green to ground.
Light blue to Control Blue
Light White to Control White.

Based on what you've said, that is how I guess it should be wired. If it doesn't work, you need to post a diagram of the control switch.

Switch works now. Using that config... thx Pain. There is only a small diff between lo beam and hi beam tho. good enough to get street legal here in Arizona.:funnyhonda::funnyhonda::funnyhonda::icon_ peace:

Glad it worked. Can't imagine there is anything electrical to cause the small difference between low and high. It's just the bulb that will effect that. Just make sure that I didn't guess wrong and you have the low and high reversed, but other than that, there's not much you have control over. :)

Some bulbs are the same wattage on high and low beam. On those bulbs, high beam isn't any brighter it just raises the beam up higher.

That's exactly what its doing, not changing the brightness just raising the beam up higher. So the obvious thing to do now is install a bulb that has diff wattages so i can ride at night with a true low beam.
