I am a fan of Spectrum ( synthetic rope ) , one thing I learned is if your winch comes with wire rope and you are going to change it over to synthetic then don't buy that crap from Harbor Freight , go to a marine supply store , that cheap stuff is no where near the quality

Harbor freight has a big sale on winches this weekend on the Badlands 2500 for super cheap , you can get 4 or 5 of them for the price on one Warn , then you can put 2 in the front and 2 in the rear , keep one for a spare when the other 4 burn out
