Hi All,

I was thinking about putting a winch on my 1999 TRX300FW. Does anyone have or have you used a winch from Harbor Freight or Northern Tool.

When installing a winch do you have change the battery to a higher amperage?

alot of ppl from here have used thier products...i use warn myself..lol..as for the battery..nah..your oem battery will work..as long as it's a good battery.

Does anyone have any pictures of how you mounted your winch on a 300FW? I'm looking at a winch from Northern Tools but it doesn't look like there's enough room under there.

someone not long ago put a winch on a 300..look in the new ppl section..or somewhere..i know it's listed on the forums here..i seen it.

I have a Warn...really handy!

I didn't change the battery, I just start the bike before I use the winch. No problems so far.
