Hey guys, recently back to the forum. Just bought a new rubicon after trading my rincon in.. I took my superwinch off of my previous atv and put in on the rubicon. Here's my problem/question. On one of my contacts on the winch where my wire (blue) connects, there's a ring halfway down the threads where, well there's no threads. Stripped I guess. I can't get the wire super tight to the contact. It's somewhat snug but by no means tight. When I run the winch, that contact gets SUPER hot. Is not being tight causing this? If so, what are my options? Thanks guys. I hope I made sense

Take the old nut off and stack a couple washers on the stud, then put a NEW nut on it. Don't overtighten that new one...

Is it becoming hot because it's not tight??

noooooooo..they get hot because the wire is too small to carry the load. but never hurts to get it tight.
