So today I got a Badlands 2500 and a winch plate from Harbor Freight and cannot fogure our how to mount the plate for the life of me. Have any of you guys/gals mounted a Harbor Freight plate on your 2005 and up Recon? If you have would you be willing to post up some pictures of your winch plate and fairlead Mount? Thanks in advance.

Doesn't seem to be much info out there on winch mounting plates for the Recon. But looking at the frame and how this one is:

I'd say adding another flat plate to the bottom of the harbor freight plate should work. Then bolt or u-bolt to the frame. A few minutes of googling and sounds like it is pretty easy to fab up on the Recon.

I found a photo from when I was mounting a winch on my 2005 Recon. I think I got the mounting plate from Amazon. Like it was said above not many choices out there for the Recon from what I can remember. The fairlead is mounted to the front bumper.

You don’t happen to have a link for your plate do you? I’m beginning to think my badlands plate is too small.
