I have a 1987 Trx 250 in great shape, except the carb needed rebuilt. The 250 is about 120 miles away so I took the carb off put it in a plastic grocery bag and brought it home. It is mostly my fault for leaving it in the bag and not putting it in a better location but long story short she threw it out with the trash. Now I need to replace the carb and would like advice from the forum on best route to go. Do I buy a Chinese aftermarket or a used OEM and rebuild it? If I go with a Chinese model what brand should I go with. I have a tap and die set if I need to but would love it if there is an aftermarket one out there that is actually plug and play.

used OEM for sure, china carbs are at best hit and miss, so why buy twice and have all the down time!

I wouldn't normally do this but I do have a good used trx250 (86) carb. I'm based in the UK though. If you struggle to source a used OEM carb then send me a PM.

As your new I will ONLY ship once funds are cleared in my account, apologies if that sounds rude but I'm sure you know yourself there are plenty of scammers out there, I'm not willing to take that risk.
