Do the coil test, pulse generator test, and alternator/stator tests first. If they test good, do the ICM (CDI) system test. The ICM system test, tests the wiring on the harness side, not the ICM itself. There is no test for the ICM, itself, other than replacing with a known good one. If the ICM system test, tests good, it's probably the CDI.
