Where is the best place to buy a battery and what is the best brand for my Honda 300 fourtrax. I got 6 years out of original and then bought one from wal mart it lasted from 03 to 08 then bought another from wal mart it lasted just 2 years. I always keep it on a battery tender

I prefer the OEM (Yuasa) batteries, they seem to last longer. I don't know the best place to buy one, I usually just go to the dealer and buy one. I believe they're around $80-$90.

i've had good luck with wal-mart batteries..the new kind they came out with..the glass mat i think they are called ??..they seem to hold up pretty good so far for me...and to save a few bucks..i'll keep using them..i've had one from wal-mart in my '89 trx350d foreman for about a year now..and it has not let me down yet. any battery is good..as long as you mantain it..check it..charge it..or in our case..make sure it's getting re-charged while it's in the bike !!. batteries are like anything else..they need to be maintained...if you don't do this..well..your begging for a bad day.

I have actually had luck replenishing the acid levels in some older atv batteries. I have refilled them and trickle charged them for about 12 hours, but if the battery is swollen on the sides the plates have fused and it's time for a new one, walmart has pretty decent batteries.

The best place I've found is Tris State Battery Online. They have the original Yuasa battery that fit the Honda Rancher 350 for $59 with free shipping. Everywhere else was $90. You can't beat that price anywhere else that I could find. Ordered one and had it in 3 days.

I would prefer the OEM for the better quality but I have had good luck with the Wal Mart batteries also. Welcome to the forums beaverslayer

I picked up a Motobattery for $69.00 with shipping and a 2 yr. warrantee. It is a glassmat battery also. We will see how long it lasts. Only had it for 2 wks. now. Friend of mine has an 07 Brute Force, he had it for two years and only put about 70 miles on it and had to replace the battery. Can you say Not used enough?

I use the glass matt in my Harley. They have been lasting 6 to 8 years for me. Also use battery tender all the time. No plates to vibrate loose and short out with the glass matt batterys.

The Fourtrax 300 uses the YTX14-BS. I found the battery, but it was hard to find. Their site isn't set up well for finding things. Here's the link to the battery you need for the Fourtrax 300.

Hmmmmm, I'm a little PO'd at the moment. I ordered the battery from Tri State on the 12th, yesterday they said it would cost me $60.00 to ship. WTF?

Ya ya, I know..."ALASKA" wow, we are still part of the good ole USA...until we secede from the union of course.
This (8.1 lb) battery will ship for $10.70 via USPS Priority mail Flat Rate Box (medium size) to my zip in Alaska, or anywhere in the USA. I offered to pay this amount.
Tri State will NOT ship by any other method other than UPS. Ain't that customer pleasing...

Wish my dog could lift his leg and be effective to Tri State.
