ok, you all know my o8' 300ex, its narrow, i like it narrow, but when i do a 90degree turn on trails it likes to tip, even with me as counter weight. So i was wondering if some wheel spacers would be fine or should i just get a wider axel?
would doing slides around turns put strain on the wheel spacers and possibly break them? i would say a wider axle would be better, retains your center of gravity and divides the strain across all points
ok, im not looking to something a whole lot wider than stock, thats why i was thinking stock, if i has i wider axel, with stock front a-arms, wouldnt that look a little funny?
In your situation I would go for the spacers. You're right that your quad will look funny with the back being wider. I see that you are still running the stock tires. I thought my quad was tippy as all hell until I got some razr's on there over the dunlops. Those Dunlops do not slide for anything. Try new tires before you start changing the stance.
As of now not running the gatekeeper grille essentially on the grounds that I hit a thick tree appendage that demolished Safety Vest the grille and broke the watchman and I just killed it and never took a stab at superseding it. I'll no doubt end up fixing the front end finally.
