yep, ES, electric start, that model has high and low range gear selector, notice the knob/lever on left lower side ?.Thanks Shade ES for electric start right? I see the starter in the pic. It's advertised as a two stroke that seems wrong.
Too much barn dust on it to see the rear decal
I thought it was a 250 as well.......the engine looks to big for a 200. That shaft drive is desirable.Yea looks like an 84 Big Red. Shaft Drive if i can make the shifter knob out.
nope, the atc250 big red's do not have the electric starter mounted in front of the motor !, starters are behind the cylinder, left side. notice the starter is mounted in front of the motor on this atcI thought it was a 250 as well.......the engine looks to big for a 200. . I deff know that model ( seeing how that is where it all began with me ! )..lol. I restored that atc, sold it for 2500 bucks !, could not believe it..lol. been restoring them ever sense then, got hooked !..lol.
the shaft drive was a first on the '84's. great concept !, but what a pain it was to work on the rear brakes !..lol.No, 250 was 85, 200 before that (82-84) for Big Red. Easy way to tell 83 from 84 was the shaft in 84, 82 IF original had the black stripe on the tank & chain drive like the 83. 85/250 had rear suspension.
Wimp! :icon_ laughup:Its a rollover hazard and not safe for most people these days to own!!
