yep, ES, electric start, that model has high and low range gear selector, notice the knob/lever on left lower side ?.

I thought it was a 250 as well.......the engine looks to big for a 200. That shaft drive is desirable.

nope, the atc250 big red's do not have the electric starter mounted in front of the motor !, starters are behind the cylinder, left side. notice the starter is mounted in front of the motor on this atc . by the way, this was givin to me wayyyyyyyyyyyy back, my very first Honda !..lol. this is where it all began with me !. 1984 atc200es, restored it, sold it, been doing it ever sense..lol.

No, 250 was 85, 200 before that (82-84) for Big Red. Easy way to tell 83 from 84 was the shaft in 84, 82 IF original had the black stripe on the tank & chain drive like the 83. 85/250 had rear suspension.

the shaft drive was a first on the '84's. great concept !, but what a pain it was to work on the rear brakes !..lol.
