Oh and give those new exhaust valves a good break-in period. Just dont romp on it for a little while.
I just take a small punch or old screwdriver and bend the staked part up and then I use an air impact wrench to bust the big nut loose.... that sucks. How do I remove the lock nut that is staked?
You're not supposed to reuse the locknuts, but I usually reuse them once unless they crack. Sometimes, when you bend up the staked part, they will crack around the outside edge.Should I get a new lock nut or will the old one be fine?
Put some grease on your tap and it will catch and hold most of the metal shavings. Take your time and be very careful as aluminum can be very hard to tap threads in because it is so soft.Really the only thing i'm worried about is the metal shavings from re-threading it getting into the motor.
Yeah, that will work. You may need to raise your needle up a notch, unless you determine that you're already too rich. If Moose would chime in on this, he's better at this than I am. I haven't done any jetting in years.Ok so I put a 125 Main in there, a 42 pilot and left the needle the same. It Idles good and doesn't backfire now. It does however fall flat when I gun it to WOT any suggestions?
I was thinking maybe I should try and take the air filter lid off and see if it helps it or not if it doesn't then I'll know that it's lean and vice versa right?
