i have just bought my first honda atc 250 es, its a 1985 model (i think). ive got it started but it has been stood for a few years and i have decided to do an oil change. i do know how to do it but i am not sure which oil to use, can anyone help me? also how much do i put in?

use amsoil ow-40, its really good synthetic, and just carefully add until it reaches the ful mark on the dipstick and remember how much you put in for next time.

Yea make sure you use synthetic or conventional specifically made for ATV's because they have a wet clutch. Can't use car oil. If you use synthetic....use it again, don't switch. Vice-versa for conventional. I usually used Valvoline 10w-40 for my other quads. But I have to use special stuff now for my 450r beast. lol
