I really want to get involved with some type of racing with my 400. I basically checked off everything that I couldn't do. MX, no one uses 400's for mx and I will be left in the dust with all the 450's. Cross country, cc cannot be found in southern cal. Flat track, too expensive, not that thrilling, and no tracks near here. Drag racing, not interested in making my 400 long and ugly, so i basically left desert racing as my other option in racing. Plus racing desert sounds really fun. I want to race for fun, not to get competitive and try and win a championship.

Get a bunch of your buddy's together and mark of a track and go racing. You never know what it may get started.

They don't have like a 300-400cc class mx? This surprises me. I don't know much about Mx really.

IMO, there is no other thrill like desert racing. A 400 will do fine. Most desert races, the average speed is 35-45 mph. The 400 can do that with ease. You say you don't want to get all competitive, just do one race and you will change your mind. I'm racing in the Adelanto GP in Feb. That is outside of victorville off of I-15. Come race with us!

I know a kid here in Ky that rides in a C-class MotoCross on his 400ex. He is usually in the top 3.
He races 450s of all makes. He has a 426 kit in it and it has LT suspension with custom Axis shocks but he holds his own.

That sounds great Red! Do you have a link you can direct me to to find out more info on that. I have never raced before so this would be my first race if I do enter.
