well red line is what about 9,000?? so about 3.5/10ths of the rev range.
so if you just remember that wide open is 9,000rpm. half throttle is about 4,500 rpm, that can kinda give you an idea where 3,000 is. figure that out in neutral, then in gears keep it above that if that is the goal.
