Banshees are garbage. They are only good for going in a straight line a few times then they need a rebuild. The worst geometry on an ATV to date.

Just remember, it is 2 top ends to rebuild, 2 carbs to tune to each other... Good luck.

I have a buddy who drag races one. He has massive amounts of cash in his. He rebuikds it after every race. Nitros! Anyways, for his trail quad/everyday rider is a Honda 450R because it is reliable and handles well. He would not recommend a Banshee for any other than dirt drags. Its a headache you don't want.

Yeah, they're OK for a secondary 4-wheeler, but I wouldn't want one for my primary ride.

Just like any machine, the right rider can be fast on it. It was made as track quad to compete with the 250R, Tecate 250-4, and the LT-R250. They never did any good. Yamaha missed a lot with these. They are extremely fast when modded but then you lose all reliability. In stock form they are reliable but they are a slow turd. They don't even hit 70 mph stock. The geometry is way off to be a track rider, everything is almost vertical on it, no good rake or anything.
