Oh I need help. I was riding my ATV around a creek and the part i was riding gave out and put me in water. It was sitting in water a out 30 mins before I could get it out. Well when I went in to the water it ran about 2 mins and shuts off. I tried starting it few times to see if I can get it out of the water. When I got it out I had it towed to my house. The next day I drained the oil out. After I did that I went to the store and got oil and put it in the motor. And then tried starting it and it sounded like it want to crank over a few times and then it started to make clicking noises. I hit the solenoid couple times took a screwdriver and touch the ends to see if I can get it started and all it did was click is my motor bad or is there something else wrong with it

you toasted your battery from being under water ?, and no telling what else you ruined ?. and you did not say what you sank ??, if you took the time to read '' please read before posting'' that is at the top left of every section by the way !, you would have seen, we need to know your full make, full model, full year of your atv. coming in, and saying your atv sunk does not tell us much :).

If the air inlet (snorkel) and vent lines were under water your goingbto need a few frequent oil changes and flushes. Sometimes that works, sometimes it’s a full rebuild job.

Best advice, for a snorkel, even better advice (shadtree approved advice) stay out of deep water.
