So I found a guy selling a Warn 424 from an '04 Rancher 350... does anybody know if there's a way to make it work on my '99 Foreman 450? I know they had different part #s for the 2 diff bikes... so I assume the answer would be a big NO... but figured I would ask y'all that have much more experience w/ these than I... TIA

Only models they will fit right in are the honda rancher 400 450 and 300 fwd (according to my instruction sheet) it's too bad they didn't make more versions of the 424

If anybody needs one for a Rancher 350... I know where one is available for a good price... didn't wanna chance that I would miss out on the deal Jeep pointed me to... and gamble that I couldn't make the Rancher model work on the Foreman...

I bought a 1999 TRX450FW a while back , it has the 4x2 in it , my 2002 TR450FW is electric shift front diff which I want to get ride of , I plan to swop the front diff and 4x2 into the 2002 one day , most likely when the front diff goes out on the 2002

My wife and my red 300 both have 4x2's in them , I really love it , the one in her bike I picked up for $50 because it needed rebuilding , the kits are $125 and easy to install the new bearings , seals and cable that comes in the kit

I really want one for my 92 300 but for it to work in the 1st gens , it has to be modified by welding the shaft , the kits go for $370 list and one guy that does the mod gets $525 for a kit ready to go , that is steep $

Yeah they're high. I lucked out on the 300 424 I picked up for $188 a few weeks ago.

Yesterday in googling part numbers, one for a 450 popped up for $252 on Amazon, and Kbacon snapped it up.
Yeah.. thanks again Jeep!!!

I originally thought I wanted to do the '02-04 selectable diff but read about people having issues & just "something else to go wrong"... and the diffs tend to bring a pretty penny!!!

This whole "while it's apart" mentality gets pretty expensive quickly!!!

The infamous "MAW".

Might As Well.

It's cost me thousands of dollars over the years on various projects.
Got the question from the wife a little bit ago... "What's this thing you bought on Amazon???"... so I had to pull the ole "But Honey... it was ON SALE!!!"

Years ago I used to have a couple of Mitsubishi Eclipse/Eagle Talon AWD turbo projects... that I did the "While I'm doing this.. I might as well do this.. WHILE IT'S APART!" Went from a couple hundred $$$ to a couple thousand $$$$ really quick!!!

Mine has stopped complaining about boxes showing up at the house since I've sold a few things lately. She knows I don't buy things unless it's a bargain.

And of course, a lot of those boxes go to my office. LOL
