hello everyone I am new to the site, and i was wondering what are some good add ons for more speed. i have a 1991 trx 250x. I am interested in putting a high compression piston but dont want to get to carried way( what te biggest one piston i can put in without boring it out)and should i switch any other motor parts. Whats the best pipe out there and should i get a slip on or full exhaust. I was reading on here that a 400 ex carb will bolt on, can you give me the details about that( what changes will i have to make with the carb or will it just bolt on). Any other info would be great thanks

As far as pistons are concerned anything over 74mm will have to be bored 80mm being the largest. I would get a full system, FMF,HMF,CUrtis Sparks are a few good ones. THe 400EX carb will fit but it's a bit of a challenge to get the jetting right since you are going from 32mm to 38mm of carb. THe biggest PIA is getting the air tube from the box to fit, you will actually have to get it hot and softened up in order to get it to slip on. WebCamshafts make a nice cam for these too.
