Want to find a Rancher for <$3,000 - Found

I'm looking for a Rancher for less than $3,000 with the minimum features of ES shift and Fuel Injection.

Not looking for a "project", just a decent Rancher.

Either post a reply or send me a PM if you have or know of one within, say, 75 miles of Greensboro, NC

Thanks guys..

You will probably find one faster if you look on Craigslist. Or ATV trader
I was just on Craigslist when your post came in - :wink

Haven't looked on ATV Trader yet and posted here just in case someone knew of one for sale.
Always good to check around, I thought I would just give you aheads up. You never know what someone might have for sale :) best of luck to find a new ride

In my neck of the woods, I don't see normally many Honda 4x4 quads for sale. And I look on CL and FB Marketplace daily. Seems once people get them they usually hold onto them.

Well guys I was able to find a 2012 TRX420TE Rancher with only 30 hours on the clock and 105 miles on the ODO and it was in my price range.
The folks that owned it kept it garaged all the time so it basically looks new. They said it had never been ridden in the mud and looking it over I'd say the same. Some dust on it but no mud.

I'll take some photos and post them later this week.

I would likely go for it. Carry cash and who knows what you may end up paying for it.
They wanted 4K for it when I first contacted the seller (his wife) and I told her that the reason it had not sold in the last 2 months was because of the price and for her to let me know their "bottom dollar" for it. She called me back a little later and said the husband would only drop to $3,200 and "not a dime less".

Well, she was really pleasant talking to but I told her no thanks and I wouldn't offer him a "dime less"..... but... I would offer him "four Franklin's" less.

Well, after the back and forth they decided to take less "Franklin's" - :grin

How much did you score it for?
Got them to drop to $3,000 and based on the number of hours and it's condition I thought that was a reasonable price.

In talking to the wife, I found out that it was her bike and she was really uncomfortable riding it. She doubted that she had ever driven it faster than 15 MPH.

Sounds like your going to be getting a nice new bike :)

Hi guys - Sorry for the delay and here are a few photos of my "new toy"...:grin

Hard to believe it's a 2012 Rancher ES with only 30 hours on the clock. With it being 6 years old, I decided to change the oil and filter today. Oil that was in it looks fine but I wasn't comfortable having 6 year old oil in it.
