Well just started about 15lb of backstrap been marinating since yesterday just started the dehydrator should have some tasty treats in about 6 to 8 hr's, in previous batches have been told it was the best they have ever tasted.

mmm sounds so good.went hunting today but no luck.12 gauge pump with rifled barrel and 3in slugs what i shoot.cant wait to get something.

Um I thought the backstrap was the tenderloin?? the two long pieces of meat running down each side of the backbone

The tender loins are the two small strips on the underside of the spine at the start or the hind quarters right in front or where you get the piss bag out!

ok yeah that meat is like mush no fat content very lean. ok we straight

NO its not the same, you have the back straps down the tpo of the back between the neck roast and the hind quarters and the tender loins or breakfast loins on the under side.

they are two palm size slabs of meat under the thin membrane close to the last few vertabre. pigs are different we called the loin the last 8 or 10 vertebra but all the meat is good on deer if you prep it right.
