If they're too loose, you will here a ticking or tapping sound in the top of the engine. If they're too tight, the ATV will start getting hard to start.
valve adjustment
What are signs that a valve adjustment is needed. I have a 2005 400ex figured it might be due. I bought it used and doubt they have ever been adjusted
