How often should you check the valves on the 400s and 450Rs?
I'm not talking about when you start hearing them tap but a preventive measure. I may have over looked it but I didn't see no info in my manual.

Without looking I would say everyother month more frequent depending on how much and hard you ride it.

My 450r doesn't call for the first valve job until 250 hours. And that is in the manual. I have checked mine at the beginning of every summmer.(april/may)

I think I will check mine every 6 months unless I hear the valves taping. Just for good measure. I would think the 450s would be done alot sooner.

We don't ride much after Dec 15 they close down the trails for maintenance but I do use my wife's for deer hunting
