Just thought that I could use the comp. release even when I use the electric starter (every time) to hlep the starter last longer,,,,is there any reason NOT to do this? I remember growing up I heard a rumor about using the compression release on engnines,,,,either use them all the time or never,,they can stick open if used rarely,,,your guys thoughts please :icon_ lala:

I would say use it if you want to but the old days Triumph Street bikes had the compression release valve, you could not kick start those bikes without it. All my cut-off saw have them and I use them so I'd say go for it.
Have you tried it with the electric start?

yes I have used it with the electric starter and it turns over rather effortlessly,,,,I thought a starter would last forever this way as long as there is no ill effects on the motor,,,,
