Wow, fantastic work. I was happy to just get my little 83 200x running.

Any chance you still have a first gen axle that's straight that youd part with?

I took mine on it's maiden voyage today after 15 years total sitting between the previous owner and me and I got a wobble in the axle.

No I do not have it's stock axle. All that I had were sold off with parts lots. You can upgrade to a 82 atc250r durablue axle. It's $750, still does not fix all the issues but it's a better axle than factory. I've owned then before.

Thanks. Currently I took on a major project...not sure why I do this but I removed all the casting lines on my 83-85 lower triple tree...i ruffed it with a flap disk and finished it off by hand sanding with 150 grit...now I'm thinking about going dull polished triple.....so much time but originally this was done do have a nice black power coated lower triple.

I'm still wanting to try and convert over to a 350X front fender which will require a nice hold pattern welded in a milled etc. Not sure what color I want since I'm not a red fan but Not sure I want black either. I have warrior motor to fix up in the mean time.

I'm about ti start buying 230F motor parts soon.

That's what sets bikes apart from the pack. Like removing the casting and cleaning it up nicely. It's the fine tuning that makes something look soo clean. The one in my avatar started as a bare frame. Cleaned it up good feathered scratches with some 400 wet. Then primer and base, clear. Bought an intact motor but the rest was built piece by piece bought. And it soo satisfying to get that first ride and it comes to life

Finally got this thing all sanded. Prob have 12 hours in it to this point. I've been busy tearing appart 4 warrior motors for a customer to fix up 1 good one for him. People who can't work on anything need to find a new hobby. 21hrs into 4 less than perfect motors. I will be picking up a big lot of my powder coated parts Wednesday. I gotta pick a seat cover style next and color, / front fender. I'm torn on 350x 2nd gen 200x or my normal go to 3rd gen 250r.

Peace out.

Fixed up the hondaline front headlight guard, took delrin bushings I had left from a 350x and took .061 off each side so I could run the metal dust caps and opened the ID hole up to run the stock length pivot bolt collar. A lot of guys run just the delrin spacer but what ends up happening is you can literately tighten your frame until where your swinger don't swing anymore. I use the collar and let then delrin run over top of it just as a needle bushing would. Now I can not over tighten the swinger. Was not going to buy a 200x bushing kit to get just the collar so i measured my old one and its the same ID / OD as 300ex and 350x so I ordered a NOS 300ex one since its turn ground polished and next I cut to the length of a 200x one, since the 300ex collar was a good inch longer about. Now the rear ends done. Time to drop shock off to rebuild, re-valve and prob a new spring since I lost 33 lbs over last 3 months.
