ok iam a little confused on how the front sprocket is removed and installed if anybody has a video that would bbe great, mine is welded to the shaft i looked in the shaft and there is no threads for a bolt so how else would the sprocket plate hold up there.

We need to be clued in on the year and model of your bike...? And any other details you are aware of relating to solving your questions/issues.

You can get a copy of the service manual for your bike HERE. It is WAY more useful to you than any stinkin' vids!

If its a 400ex like your name. The plate has 2 10mm bolts that thread into the sprocket itself. The plate turns alittle and locks in the splines.

Most likely because they thought it wobbled to much. They do wobble but that is normal. Or the splines wore out and that was there only choice. I have seen alot of thing welded on quads over the years. And not one of them has been a quality repair. People weld shifters on, hubs to axles, and anything and everything you can possibly think of. Dumb IMO.
