I installed a uni filter clamp on style because the rubber grommets for the crab to air box were cracked and leaking. Now the 70 will not start. It was running before I swapped the filter setup. I am wondering if I need to change jet size?
Installing the uni-filter should not affect it enough to not make it start. I've run plenty bikes for short periods with no filter at all and they still start and run.
Some things I would check:
- remove air filter and make sure you didn't leave a rag stuffed in the back of the carb
- did you remember to turn fuel valve back on?
- kill switch back on?
- air filter should be oiled, but not over-oiled
If it still won't start after checking those, it's some other cause and just coincidence
