Hi, i have a 2002 Rubicon trx500. The starter button on the left handlebar has to be pushed very hard to get the four wheeler started. It's not a problem for me, but my ten year old daughter can't get it pushed. It seems just to be the starter button itself. Before I rip the handlebar switch assembly apart, any ideas on how I might fix this without buying a whole new Handlebar swith assembly?

Thanks for the help on my very rookie question.

Welcome to the forums..... I agree^^^^^^ you may also want to check the spring it may have collapsed a little making it difficult to start.

I suffered the same issue on my 450. The button assembly is a sealed unit and you cannot get it apart enough to clean the contacts and stuff.(at least on mine) What had happen to mine is the spring behind the button collapsed on itself. I had to buy a whole new switch assempbly for 70 bucks.
