A few months ago I noticed that my battery went dead in my 350FE so I charged it up and was using it again and I noticed it got drained again fairly quickly. I thought the battery might have been bad so I tried a new battery and it also got drained within 24 hours of being hooked up to the bike (no key or ignition switch on). My ATV had never blown fuses before and it didn’t start until I took out my Carb and cleaned it well. When I put the new battery back in the bike as soon as I hook it up the main 30a fuse instantly breaks. I have tried with hooking a charger up to the bike (jumping it) but as soon as i hook both of those cables to the battery cables it instantly blows the main fuse with no key in the ignition... I'm assuming its a ground problem (fuses blowing) but I checked everywhere I can think of and can't seem to find one. As far as why my bike was draining every good battery I put in it i have no idea what causes that!

Any help is appreciated thanks!

There may be a short in your regulator .

Is this electric start? If so check the actual start button. Sounds very similar to what mine did.

Update - I used a volt meter and ran some tests. I found the ground problem that was blowing my 30a main fuse and It is now fixed!

The 1st problem I had was my bike would run down my good batteries even when it was not running. I did some tests and came to the conclusion that my charging system is bad it is only reading about 2.75 volts when the bike is running. My other bike reads about 13.5 volts while running which should be normal.

I think that my AC Generator might be bad... Can an AC Generator or some sort of Alternator on this bike make a good battery die and never hold a charge again?... If something is wrong with the AC Generator is there any way to take it apart and fix something internal?.. I am mechanically inclined and I'm sure I can replace the part that it needed or possibly fix it if I can figure out what piece it is I'm looking for.

This bike is a pull start or push button if I have a good battery hooked up to it. I have been pull starting it for now since it drains any good battery I have installed in the bike.

This is for a 2000 350FE number 6 is the regulator that regulates the current to the alternator, that maybe your whole issue and not the alternator.
The Stator (alternator) is pretty expensive for your quad.......4: STATOR
(DENSO) part number 169734-001 cost - $211.68

Yes you can test both with a multi meter set to ohms. You will need a service manual for your quad to determine the tolerances. once you get a manual you will see a section dedicated just for testing your eletrical components. Good luck and give us an update when you find the issue.
