TRX350 1986 Clutch install

In process of rebuild and putting back together. Cam chain in, oil pump back on, first clutch installed. That's where I'm at and I don't recall the clutch plates being loose(side to side like its missing one) in side the basket, so I did a remove and look over, reinstall and nothing seemed off anywhere .. but not sure on the plates being so loose in there. I'm thinking they should be tight when its tightened up ?
I'm hoping somebody has an answer on this , I really appreciate it and getting me back going!
