Help me! Help me!
I need to replace the front wheel bearings on the kids year 2000 trx300fw. It's a 4 wheel drive model. I bought OEM wheel bearings but believe that they are for a 2 wheel drive model. I bought 4 (sealed) wheel bearings and 2 seals. The schematic the parts guy was looking at showed an inner and outer wheel bearing on each side. I believe this is for the 2 wheel drive model not 4 wheel. Can anyone help with this?

hey welcome for a 2 and 4x4 i have a honda 4x4 balls raceing is what u should be looking at and if my memory serves me right i think there both the same bearing easys way to find out is call a honda deal the will give u all the info happy trails

If it's 2wd, you will have two bearings in the front hubs on each side. The earlier years use two different size bearings on each side. The later years, can't remember when they changed, used the same size bearings on each side. All 4 wheel bearings were the same. If you have a 4wd, you will have one wide bearing in each knuckle. It's one single outer race containing to separate bearings, inside.

I have a 96 and it only has 1 bearing per side....at least there was only one in there.

just to clear some stuff up..when a parts man looks these up..on some micro fich..it shows two bearings..but..in fact..it's called a double row bearing..it's two bearings..just made to look like one bearing. in other words..when that parts guy orders your bearings..it may look like your getting two bearings..but in some cases..it's really one bearing all together as two..this is known as a double row bearing.

Mine is a single bearing that's double on the inside like shadetree said.

new here. i have a 97 fourtrax 300 4x4. front bearings were completely shot. i replaced the left side and it still had play in the wheel would i need to replace the whole knuckle????? i priced a knuckle ass. today at local atv shop $106. ..and i know i should have parked it with the bearings bein as bad as they are but i rode a little every weekend. and now there is oil barely leakin out of the left side of the front differential were the axle is?????????? did i mess somethin up bad???????? any help would be appreciated thanks..
