will my 99 trx300fw (2x4) think its actually a 300A, fit a 400ex shock on the front and what modifications would need done if at all... hoping not a lot of work. i read a thread that mentioned it but cant find it and they didn't go into a much detail.

A: Not without a relocation kit from diamondjcustoms. And to make it really ride good 400ex a-arms and tie rods! Then your good to go! Thing will ride like a dream after that.

They sell the kits for the 300EX to fit 400EX shocks but there is no way to run them without some custom work on a utility TRX300. 300EX shocks will fit pretty good if you can find those.

the 300ex front shocks are still available from Honda , stupid pricing at $196 each , that part number on ebay comes back with some from $85 a set to $150 used
