Hi Members

Anyone have pics of a TRX300 with a mid body plow mount?

I have a TRX300 that seems lightweight for plowing snow but I’m game to try it with a barebones 48” plow.
I came across a freebie plow mount for an early Rancher—the mount plate looks like it would fit if I could mock it up like a Cycle Country 15-1510—which is still available thru Kolpin for $72. I want to make sure I place it properly on the frame—just foreward of the steps. I would need to make sure it clears the footbrake, cut a hole for the oil drain, use right diameter u-bolts, etc.

Look pretty close to the kolpin 15-1510
Agreed, the one in the pics of your first post does look almost identical to that kolpin mount. I had just posted the kfi link to show where to mount it with the u-bolts. You could go just in front of the footpegs and drill hole for drain bolt like you mentioned. Or you can go as far forward as kfi shows and then you won't have to drill for the drain bolt, and you'll also get increased plow lift height. I like mine that way.

Got it done—need one more u-bolt before I hang a plow on it.
The Rancher and TRX300 plow mounts are pretty close except the Rancher mount bolt holes are not parallel. Frame tubes must be different so I had to elongate those holes. Not the prettiest job but seems pretty tight.

Looks like a dang good fit to me! Could probably sawzall off the u-bolt ends just so you have less chance of them getting hung up on anything.

FYI, since it's a cycle country mount, any kfi plow will connect right up to it too. I actually have a kfi mount connected to a cycle country plow on one of my setups. They use identical spacing between tabs.

Thanks TT yup I need to cut those threads off—not a terrible good clearance so might want to take these mounts off during summers!
So great old Cycle Country stuff is compatible with Kolpin; I have two CC plows cobbled together from junkyard parts.
My daughter wants a snowplow at her place but she’s not getting the Chili Pepper. So putting manual lift plow On the TRX300 for her and she can buy me a kolpin winch mount for Christmas!
