Im new to this site and just bought an 08 700xx the 18th of feb. I've only been able to put one tank of gas through it yet but I absolutly love it. I did alot of reading online before i bought it, however there wasnt much info from people who actually owned them. I just wanted to hear the thoughts from those who have one, how you like it, accessories, problems, ect. One question i have is about shock adjustment. I'm about 170lbs and it seems wicked soft. Thanks

You are correct Helmut sir....

Welcome to the forums. I do know any performance upgrades to the 700XX you will need a programmer for the computer. $$$

because the XX is is fuel injected, you cannot jet it to add more fuel. Yoy have to buy a fuel programmer. I recommend buying one from the same mfg as the exhaust you choose. When you change exhaust systems you are increasing your air flow, to balance out your air fuel ratio you need the programmer.

How do you like the independant rear suspention?
I love it, Gives a great ride plus ground clearence is awesome. She's gonna be sweet in the trails and playing in the pit. I cant wait till she's broke in to see what full throttle acceleration is like.

Nice choice you'll be very HAPPY with it!! I would for sure add some nerfs asap and my favorite upgrade has been rear Maxxis Razr tires, they are a huge improvement over stock. Yours looks sharp in black...dig the powermadds. I too think the suspensions a little on the soft side but to cheap right now to spend the bucks to upgrade. The only time I really notice is if I go too long on a jump or misjudge some really deep whoops. On most rough trails it feels just fine though and I weigh about 180.

That was the same jump that it took me a few visits to the track to clear. It's not hard, just forcing yourself to commit.
