I was just on the itp site and they say that if you remove the wheels scraper that's on the back of the 700xx that the 10" wheels will fit and I just wanted to know if any body has tried putting the itp ss12 sport 10" wheels on the 700xx yet or not? I will be calling itp in the morning to see if they would fit or not. thanks.

The reason Honda went with the 11" wheel has nothing to do with the mud scraper. It has to do with the angle the arms and stuff travel with suspension movement. If you put 10" wheels on it you will have to get an offset to the point where your brake calipers and everything are completely explosed.

okay thanks guys, I will give itp a call tomorrow and ask them if they are going to be coming out with the ss 112 series wheels that will fit the back of the 700xx then. the reason I'm asking is that I have already bought two and was planning on putting them on my 250 ex. but now that i'm thinking of terading it in for a 700xx i was hoping that I could get two more of them to fit on the back of the 700. so I wouldn't have to send them back.

I'd be interested in hearing from someone thats gone down to a 10" rim and get their input on whether or not there is any clearance or rubbing issues. I've upgraded my tires but retained the stock rim size and I think that most of the desert racers have done the same. I think the biggest reason people went to the smaller rim was because they didnt have a aftermarket tire that would fit the 11" rim when the 700 was introduced but now they do.

yeah I will have to ask them about the offset. cause rocky mountain atv says that the two front wheels that I have will fit on the front of the 700. the only problem is getting them to fit on the back of the 700. so I will have to ask them about the off set. cause I might be able to put a wheel spacer on and get the wheels to fit on the back. we'll see what itp says when i call them tomorrow. thanks guys.
